In many ways, an extension to a property can be more problematic than a new build. Having successfully completed many of both over nearly a decade, we know how to avoid typical pitfalls and difficulties, and have the professionalism to recognise and overcome issues should they arise. Our techniques to achieve this include:
- A rigorous planning process
- Realistic quotations
- Project management
- Employment of excellent trades people
- Use of high quality materials
- Prompt arrival every day on site
- Focus on adherence to completion times
- Regular communication with our customers
- Particular attention to building plans
Our commitment to customer care and project management includes understanding customer expectations from the outset: We continue to monitor and verify client satisfaction along the way. Good client relationships are reinforced by predictable costs, keeping within promised timescales, and fostering a co-operative atmosphere between the customer and our team.
Pre-Build
It is important that an extension complements the existing property. This will help to gain maximum resale value should the property be marketed, will ensure customers find the result aesthetically pleasing, enhance the environment and avoid issues with the local planning department. We can recommend the most appropriate materials from both a cost and design perspective, and recommend architects, should you not have one in mind, who will understand your design requirements and the local planning issues.
Solar and Other Sustainable Energy Sources
With energy efficiency ratings becoming important to property purchasers, in part because of rocketing fuel costs and in part owing to environmental considerations, the planning stage of an extension to any property is the ideal time to consider whether renewable energy would make sense.
We are qualified to recommend and install energy efficient products, whether this involves replacement of existing systems, or adding more economical solutions to the new extension.
Build Duration
We commit to being on time, on budget and to creating the minimum of disruption to customers, tenants or the working environment - should it be a work related property. Our staff and contractors are instructed to keep mess to a minimum, arrive on time in order to work a full day, and to ensure that supplies and materials are available on site when required. Any changes or issues will be discussed with the client promptly to allow them the maximum time, and to provide comprehensive information, to consider the best way forward.
Post Build
We aim to complete punctually, but we do not leave the site before works are finished and snagging concluded. Should problems arise once we have left site, we return as soon as possible to resolve them fully. We will have worked with the architect, and undertaken tight project management, in order to avoid, where possible, any unexpected problems. Please see our testimonials for recommendations from previous customers.
